We typed a base directory that did not exist in the repo. Railpack built an image from an empty folder: a green badge, zero errors, and a container that restarted every few seconds.
The checklist
- Open the runtime logs, not just the deployment badge.
- On the server:
docker ps. Up means running; Restarting means it has nothing to run. - Set the base directory to the folder that holds the
package.json(or your app's entry file). - Redeploy and watch the runtime logs until the app prints that it is listening.
