Listing pages for MCP servers and server providers can carry ratings and reviews from people who used them. This page is the whole rulebook.
What a review must be
- Your own experience. You installed, ran, rented or otherwise used the thing you review. Say what you used it for and what happened.
- No incentives. Nobody paid you, gave you credit, a discount, a gift or a favour for the review. We never pay for reviews and never offer anything in exchange for one.
- Disclosure is required. If you work for the vendor, are paid by it, or are the maintainer of the server, tick "I work for or am paid by this vendor". The review is then shown with that label. The same applies to competitors: a review of a rival's product must say so in the text.
- One review per person per listing. You can ask us to replace yours with a newer one.
What we do with it
- A person reads every review before it is shown. Until then it is not visible and does not count.
- The rating shown on a listing is the plain average of its approved reviews, with the number of reviews next to it. A listing without an approved review shows "No reviews yet": there is no default, estimated or imported rating, and we never write reviews ourselves.
- We do not edit reviews. A review is published as written or not at all.
- Reviews never change a factual field of a listing, the order of a list, or a "Tested by Few Servers" mark. Those come only from what we read or measured ourselves. A paid placement, if we ever sell one, will be labelled Sponsored and cannot remove, hide or reorder reviews.
What we remove
Fake reviews, reviews that were paid for or rewarded, reviews with an undisclosed link to the vendor or a competitor, abuse, hate, threats, spam and advertising, personal data about other people, and text that is not about the listing. A negative review that follows these rules stays.
Every review has a "Report this review" link. A person looks at each report. Reporting does not hide a review by itself.
Vendors and maintainers
A vendor or maintainer can reply to a review of their listing: claim the listing (or the provider listing) and send the reply to hello@fewservers.com. We publish one reply per review under the vendor's name. Vendors cannot delete reviews; they can report one that breaks the rules above, like anyone else.
Your data
The display name you choose is shown with the review. Your email address is never shown and is not stored in readable form: we keep a scrambled fingerprint of it so the same address cannot review one listing twice. We do not store your IP address; a scrambled fingerprint of address and day is kept for two days to limit how many reviews one connection can send. To have your review removed, write to hello@fewservers.com from any address and tell us which one it is.
